A202 is Bitdeer AI's largest single capacity addition to date in Southeast Asia, secured under a 10-year data center services agreement, with energization expected in Q3 2027

With A202, Bitdeer AI's secured AI Cloud data center capacity totals approximately 206.5MW, or approximately 59% of its target of up to 350MW, to be delivered by the first quarter of 2028

SINGAPORE, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bitdeer AI, part of Bitdeer Technologies Group (“Bitdeer” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: BTDR), (“Bitdeer AI”), an emerging AI cloud service and AI infrastructure provider and preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner, today announced that it has entered into a 10-year data center services agreement for A202, a 65.1MW AI Cloud data center facility on the same Johor Bahru, Malaysia campus as its 21.7MW A201 facility.

A202 represents the Company's largest single capacity addition to date in Southeast Asia, with energization expected in Q3 2027. Similar to the A102 and A201 facilities, A202 is designed for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA systems, including GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin platforms, and is capable of delivering both GPU cloud services and data hosting. Siting on the existing Johor campus allows Bitdeer AI to extend power, liquid cooling, and network infrastructure to the new A202 facility, shortening the path to energization. Together with the 21.7MW A201 facility, the Johor campus will represent 86.8MW of AI Cloud data center capacity of Bitdeer AI.

Bitdeer AI develops data center capacity consistent with contracted demand and deploys GPU and related computing capital against executed contracts.

Bitdeer AI expects the per-megawatt (MW) economics of A202 to be broadly consistent with those of A102, where 5-year offtake commitments represent total expected revenue of over $800 million across 9.5MW. Consistent with its track record at the A102 facility, Bitdeer AI expects to contract capacity ahead of energization. Contract economics vary by site, service mix and duration, and previously announced contract terms may not be indicative of future terms.

Bitdeer AI expects to fund GPU deployment at A202 primarily through customer prepayments, which it seeks to structure, as a general matter, to cover more than 50% of the associated capital expenditure, together with financing secured against contracted cash flows and operating cash flow.

Demand for uncontracted capacity at Bitdeer AI's AI Cloud sites remains strong. Bitdeer AI’s active pipeline for AI cloud capacity is now estimated to exceed $7 billion.

With A202, Bitdeer AI's secured AI Cloud data center capacity — capacity owned or under an executed data center services agreement — totals approximately 206.5MW across sites in Malaysia, Norway and the United States, representing approximately 59% of its target of up to 350MW to be delivered by the first quarter of 2028. All MW figures in this release refer to critical IT load.

“The signal from customers is unambiguous: demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI Cloud capacity in 2027 is running well ahead of what the market can supply,” said Michael G. Potter, Chief Financial Officer. “A102 sold out ahead of energization, A201 is in advanced negotiations, and our secured AI Cloud data center capacity now stands at approximately 206.5MW. Securing A202 is a direct response to that demand — an incremental 65.1MW on a campus we already have contracted for.”

“Johor is where we can move fastest,” said Retainna Lin, VP of AI Cloud. “A201 is already secured at the data center level and is scheduled to be ready for service in January 2027, and A202 sits on the same campus — the same power, the same cooling, the same network. That is how we added 65.1MW without originating a new site. For our customers, it means liquid-cooled, rack-scale capacity available in Southeast Asia on a timeline that few providers in this region can offer.”

Forward-looking statements in this press release include, without limitation, statements regarding the 65.1MW A202 facility secured on the Johor campus under a 10-year data center services agreement and the expected timing of its development and energization, the expectation that extending power, liquid cooling and network infrastructure from the existing Johor campus will shorten the path to energization, the expected readiness for service of the A201 facility in January 2027 and the status and outcome of negotiations relating to A201 capacity, the intended suitability of A202 for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA systems, including GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin platforms, and for GPU cloud services and data hosting, the expectation of contracting capacity ahead of energization, the Company's approach of developing data center capacity consistent with contracted demand and deploying GPU and related computing capital against executed contracts, and the sequencing of data center agreements ahead of offtake commitments, the expectation that the per-MW economics of A202 will be broadly consistent with those of A102, the estimated active pipeline for AI Cloud capacity of more than $7 billion, the funding of GPU deployment through customer prepayments, financing secured against contracted cash flows and operating cash flow and the expected prepayment coverage of associated capital expenditure, the strength of customer demand for AI Cloud capacity relative to market supply, the approximately 206.5MW of secured AI Cloud data center capacity and its representation of approximately 59% of the up-to-350MW target, the expectation that the Johor campus will represent 86.8MW of AI Cloud data center capacity, and the up-to-350MW AI-ready data center capacity target for delivery by the first quarter of 2028.

No offtake commitments have been entered into with respect to A201 or A202 capacity as of the date of this press release. There can be no assurance that negotiations relating to A201 or commercial discussions relating to A202 will result in executed contracts, that any such contracts will be executed on the expected timeline or ahead of energization, or that they will be on terms comparable to those previously announced by the Company. Prior contract terms, including those announced in respect of the A102 facility, may not be indicative of future results, and the expected contract values in this press release are estimates derived from those prior terms. The active pipeline figure referred to above represents management’s estimate of the aggregate potential contract value of opportunities under commercial discussion. It is not backlog, revenue, an executed contract or a binding commitment, is calculated using assumptions as to capacity, term, pricing and service mix that may not be realized, and there can be no assurance that any portion of it will result in executed contracts.

These forward-looking statements are based on management's current expectations, assumptions, estimates and projections about the Company and the industry in which it operates, and involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties and other factors that may cause actual results, performance or achievements to differ materially from those expressed or implied by any forward-looking statement. These risks and uncertainties include, but are not limited to: the ability to convert commercial discussions and negotiations into executed contracts on the expected timeline, the satisfaction of handover and other conditions under the Company’s data center agreements, the performance of third-party data center developers and service providers, the receipt of required regulatory, utility and other approvals, customer demand and performance, contract terms, equipment delivery schedules, site readiness and power availability, electricity tariffs, connected load and other utility charges, data center construction and energization schedules, financing arrangements and cost of capital, as well as the other risks and uncertainties described under “Item 3.
