India, March 14, 2018 – EOS, the world's leading technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers, is opening a new location in Germany, the EOS Innovation Centre Düsseldorf. The customer and technology centre offers companies regional support for their 3D printing innovation projects with a wide range of consulting and training services that address key aspects along the entire process chain. The EOS Innovation Centre has been formally opened on March 13, attended by numerous EOS customers as well as representatives of the regional capital of Düsseldorf. EOS is the world's leading technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers.

Dr Bernd Reinarz, Team Manager EOS Innovation Centre Düsseldorf, says: “It can be a complex process to design new components for Additive Manufacturing and subsequently plan and optimise the production processes. The objective is clear, but companies still frequently lack the needed experience. The EOS team in Düsseldorf comprises experienced engineers and consultants that can help companies rapidly achieve excellent results with industrial 3D printing – locally, personally, and individually.”

Holger Rübesame, Business Development Manager at SPECS Surface Nano Analysis, on working together with EOS: “The excellent collaboration with the team of the EOS Innovation Centre Düsseldorf enabled us to substantiate the profitability of industrial 3D printing for our product portfolio. Within a short time we were able to re-design our components, including the targeted development of process parameters.”

The Innovation Centre has around 1,000 m² of floor space for individualized customer consultation, including a large area with EOS systems for industrial 3D printing with polymer and metal materials. Companies can rent machinery space as well as project rooms. To this the EOS team at the Centre offers both consultation and training courses – including specialized advice on designing and optimising the parts to be manufactured, the Additive Manufacturing process itself, and planning of production.

The experts in Düsseldorf see themselves as problem solvers who develop creative solutions for the challenges of their customers. Close interaction with the Additive Minds consulting unit ensures that the entire range of products and services is available in Düsseldorf. Companies can therefore expect and rely on skilful support from EOS to cover all their requirements.

Apart from working together with companies, EOS plans to collaborate closely with universities of applied sciences in the region with the aim of training the AM specialists of the future.
