Ziehl-Abegg, the industrial company in southern Germany, is the clear No 1 when it comes to training in the electrical industry. “The nationwide study in Germany testifies to our long-term commitment to qualified training,” says Peter Fenkl, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg SE. Ziehl-Abegg is one of the leading global companies in the field of ventilation, control and drive technology.

“Germany's best companies for training 2018” is the title of the study. The training officers of the 20,000 companies with the largest number of employees from 93 sectors were surveyed on behalf of the leading news magazines Focus and Focus Money. Prof Dr Werner Sarges, a specialist in personnel diagnostics at the Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg, provided the scientific support for the study. The study focused on five aspects: the success of the training, structural data on the trainees, the remuneration, the training ratio as well as additional offerings for trainees.

“Ziehl-Abegg is not only a leader in the manufacture of fans for ventilation and air conditioning technology, as well as lift drive motors,” say the members of the jury. The training concept, which was praised by the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also impressed the jurors with its foreign deployments, among other things. The runners up are clearly behind Ziehl-Abegg. “I am pleased with the result for our trainers who are highly committed to providing the next generation of skilled workers with the best possible start to their careers,” says CEO Fenkl.

For the study, entitled “Germany's best companies for training 2018,” questionnaires were sent to the training officers of the 20,000 companies in Germany with the largest number of employees. In order to assess the quality of the training, the study looked at five aspects which were included in the evaluation with the following weightings: training success (24%), structural data on the training (24%), training remuneration (16%), training ratio (20%) and additional offerings for trainees (16%). In total, 745 companies were able to maintain their rankings. The agency Faktenkontor produced the study on behalf of the news magazines Focus and Focus Money. Prof Dr Werner Sarges, who is known through his work as a specialist in personnel diagnostics at the Helmut-Schmidt-Universität, provided scientific support for the study.
