September 11, New Delhi: Advantage India Summit, the largest investment forum for the Indian electronics industry will take place on September 14, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi to cover various key schemes, initiatives and offer investment and networking opportunities for encouraging growth within the electronics industry. The participating Indian states will present the investment opportunities for the electronics manufacturing industry in India. This summit will help foreign delegates to engage with the representatives of Indian states like Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana at a single largest platform for discussion about investment opportunities.
Advantage India Summit is a part of the 18th edition of electronica India and productronica India trade fair, which is scheduled from 14-16 September, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in association with the newly formed – Invest India, a part of Government of India. The gathering will highlight the Indian states participating at electronica India trade fair to present the investment opportunities for global manufacturers within the electronic and electrical system manufacturing segments.
According to industry body Assocham and IT company NEC Technologies, the demand for electronics products in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 41 per cent to reach US$ 400 billion by 2020 and Domestic production is expected to grow at a CAGR of 27 per cent during 2016-2020 to reach USD 104 billion in 2020, as compared to the CAGR of 9.6 per cent during 2010-2016.
Ms Suja Chandy, Vice President, Invest India said: “Make in India initiative by the Indian government has encouraged international companies to manufacture their products in India wherein various schemes have been announced to support the electronics manufacturing components and designing. electronica India & productronica India is one such platform to discuss on how harmonizing local resources and sourcing can be the key drivers for Indian ESDM industry ecosystem.”
