Solidcam will be unveiling the latest version of its integrated CAM solution. In addition to a large number of new functions in all CAM modules, this major new release is claimed to drive the advance of digitalization in manufacturing through improved interfaces. For an easy integration of manufacturing data into additional TDM, ERP, SCM, PLM and SLM systems, the developers have extended the available APIs to TDM and verification software.

The advanced Mill-Turn module of Solidcam 2016 has been improved and now supports the fast and easy programming of complex CNC machines with three channels. As the company explains further, highly efficient i-Machining milling operations can be defined even faster from within a new dashboard.

In addition, new options in the 2D and 3D modules enable a precise control of the powerful technology, reportedly saving 75 percent and more in machining time. As a certified Gold product, Solidcam 2017 can be seamlessly integrated in the current Solidworks version.
